Ha!
I know very little, but agree that doesn't sound like the name of a 60's Datsun designer... more like my wife's shoe designer.

Didn't really think that through.

Embarrasedly,
Peter

Jeffrey-Allan, Inc. holds the patents for the push-button seat belt latch-release.

I think the spring pulls the knob used to move the seat back into place.

These are 67.5 same as mine
Curtis wrote: Tue Mar 09, 2021 7:08 pm Looks like there is an aftermarket mixed in. I would guess the one that says Jeffrey Allan. Part of it matches what I have. I bought a set of luggage straps before I found out they don't belong on my car.

Thanks.

@rwmann - thanks for that.

The Jeffrey Allan belt was for my back seat... I wonder if the previous owner just bought it and bolted it in... or the dealer?

@Pjackb - Jacques, do you have a belt with Jeffrey Allan on it?

Thanks gents.

Curtis wrote: Mon Mar 08, 2021 11:06 am I was under the impression that the 66-67 and the 67.5-70 had different size and appearance buckles. I have two lap belts and some other straps. The lap belts have the slot for the shoulder belt and I have 3 different shaped anchor clips.

Thanks for the picture! I couldn’t figure out how to attach the shoulder belt. This picture exposes the secret!

Hi All, I just found some pretty nice original 67.5 seatbelts...

Nice in the sense that they're supple, the hardware chrome is in pretty good shape, and everything functions perfectly.

My question is about the gray bit... Does anyone know the original color/finish of that portion? Was it flat black? Dark grey?

Thank you.
Peter

Wow! Jacques, looks great as usual !

I was just wondering what to do with my webbing as well... I had not thought of spray painting.

I was thinking of getting some RIT dye and a foam brush, or one of those KIWI suede coloring bottles with the built in applicator.

I have some not-so-good belts that I will likely test, and keep you posted.

I'd love to see the buckles when you get a chance.

Thanks as always!
Peter

The Kiwi will rub off , Dye or Duplicolor or SEM fabric paint
As usual prep work and cleaning is key to success

Gotcha, thank you...

I was thinking there's a kiwi stain/dye, but maybe not.

And I hadn't heard of SEM and didn't realize there's such a thing as spray paint for fabric.

And that same SEM works on the buckle part??? Very cool.

SEM it is.

I'm learning so much from you pros!

Thanks again,
Peter

It looks amazing. I drove all over San Diego going to stores that said they have it... with no luck, so I'll look on Amazon or similar.

And regarding the buckles... this eBay listing just popped up and the NOS buckles here look like a hammered grey finish... hmmm...

Mine don't appear to have ever looked like that... if anything more flat or satin black or dark charcoal gray...

Any thoughts?

I thought that they were the hammered silver finish as in the photos of the NOS units.
