Thanks love your color diagrams. If you look at my original pic, you can see the early 66 doesn't match the later wiring style in the diagrams.

I'd say someone put a 64 engine harness in your car. You should check the plugs under the dash at the firewall, they probably don't match the correct color at the plugs. Here is an original OEM 66-67 engine harness complete with the usual unraveling tape.

I know from reading and parts sites they run a different regulator from later 66-67s, but not sure if that extends to the different harness too. Hoping someone has a picture.

What is your console like? Could be you have a 65 titled as a 66. Serial number?
Does your side trim if you have it go clear out to the headlight?

side trim is only to wheel well.
