There are plenty of roadster owners who should never do mechanical (or electrical 😳)repairs. That is just a fact. The smart ones realize their limitations.

All you have to do is look at the sins of the PO thread. You really going to encourage everyone to make their own brake lines?

I don’t think that is a good or responsible general recommendation for many home mechanics.

The last “roadster owner made” caliper line I saw was dragging on the front left wheel....if he can’t make a line that clears the wheel, do you really trust his homemade flare?

I've seen Nissan made lines dragging on the wheel...

Only if installed by a really bad mechanic. Do you want "that guy" making flares for your daughter's daily driver? Probably not.

Back in '71 I took my 67.5 to a highly recommended "foreign car specialist" for brake work. I don't recall what all they did but a few days later it was pulling to the right. He had left a line rubbing on the wheel. Isn't an ASE patch supposed to prevent that?

I have now put on several new Nissan tubes and SS tubes. All bends are not created equal. I also have several new Nissan tubes in a bin. I'm not sure what they do with them but none of them seem to be the same. If you put new or used tubes on your car and don't check them with the wheel on then you must like to gamble, most likely with your life. Okay, back to my harness making.

As to the Jaguar tubes they do not fit the Datsun calipers. And this is why, the caliper is shorter. Found that out the hard way when I bought tubes from Hy-Dra-Cyl and they sold them as Datsun tubes.

Doh! I forgot that. Would be a way to reduce unspring weight a little if nothing else.
