And I have sora blue again in Nason paint. She recommended mixing a bit and testing it first. They apparently like to change color names as it was used for several years.

I had my '69 painted in VW New Beetle "Mellow Yellow" and it's very, very close to the original color. The VW New Beetle blue appears to be close to the Sora Blue and you might want to look into that.

That's just a little too blue for me. True sora blue is a little dull in color. The painter is going to call to the supplier and get it.

I think it boils down to lighting, angles and what not when taking the photo. And of course Monitor calibration.

Maybe so but one of our local guys got the correct formula and it is not bright like some paint their cars. I have seen sora blue that was not out in the sun on the cars.

I had my '69 painted with Volkswagen New Beetle "Mellow Yellow" and it's very close to the original color. Ross told me that it looked so good that he later painted a couple of other cars with the same paint. There are also New Beetles with a blue which appears to be close to the original Sora Blue. They are modern paints and readily available and I have seen white New Beetles, so it might be worth looking into.

Not for me thanks, going to stick with the two stage in original color. Used a Nissan white that was as close as possible since the painter didn't get the formula ahead of time on the first car. I was not too pleased. I found out just how many different shades of white there are. Took about an hour looking through paint books. The owner is going to make sure we have it and we'll do a sample first.
