Dan,
Pat states that he “repaired” his switch but wants another. Maybe he can share what he did?
Pat is an electrical expert, so perhaps a better fix :D

I’m pretty sure this is for an earlier car, but I have a part number Nissan Switch 25150-12200 if it would help anyone out.
Merry Christmas everyone.

I'd try to soak it in at for z week or so to see if I could free it up before. I tried to take it apart.
If the ETF works, you can clean it with an ultrasonic cleane

No problem, Dan. I used a Mototool with a cutting disk & cut into the swagged part on the switch, then gently pried it back until the Bakelite switch came out.

I had to clean the contacts & soldered the connections both inside & outside. A couple of the pins are quiet delicate on the outside, one broke. I soldered that & added super glue to tighten things up.

I don't seem to be able to add a photo of the switch, so I'll send you a photo of it directly.

Peace,
Pat

Linda,

While I was able to get the old switch working, I decided that I wanted better reliability.

As was SOP for Nissan in the 60's, they used rivets to connect the internals of switches & relays to the external contacts without welding or soldering. I soldered the connections inside & outside. A couple of the external pins (Accessory & Ballast) are pretty fragile. One broke off so after i soldered them I used super glue to mechanically hold the pins.

Peace,
Pat
