THANK YOU!!! I have had people argue with me about the longer bolt with the circular mark. I appreciate your posting the pictures.

Re: SPL311-04749 1967 1600 Restoration
And we have separation!

However, it needs to go up about another inch, since it won't clear the tires. I just ran out of physical limits on lifting, as my legs were fully straight at this height, and I'm not about to try to curl the body.
I will probably drill holes in the supports up 3 inches, and maybe get a platform to stand on. Otherwise, I might have to get out the engine hoist.

Flatten the tires? Then again I'm not 100% sure what the object is. Roll the chassis back out from under the bucket? Even with near flat tires you should be able to roll it out, or pull it with another vehicle. You will probably need to chance taking out one of the two 2 x 4's roll the chassis out a bit then reinstall the 2 x 4 in front of the front wheels. Then do the same thing with the back 2 x 4 when the front tires get to that point. Then again I'm probably liquored up.

Yea, that is the plan for the bottom 2x4s. I added them just for a little sense of mind. The nuts on them are just hand tight so they can be removed and replaced easily. Was just worried about the base walking sideways on me. I plan to roll the chassis out soon. I just can't right at this moment because the other bay has furniture that is waiting to be picked up and returned.

Re: SPL311-04749 1967 1600 Restoration
Weather was great today for some cleaning. So I rolled out the ultimate weight reduction roadster

Frame looks to be pretty good. After removing all the horsehair pads, I hit it with the pressure washer and some Purple Power

The roadster now takes up both bays

Overall, the frame is in really good shape. The worst is on the x-brace that sat under the cabin. The rust is starting to pit the surface. Looks like I got to it in time.

Next I need to get it on stands, start taking off the suspension and steering, and stripping off the paint and rust.

EGZ,
You 're doing Great at chronicling your disassembly process, which should make it easier to reassemble.
Thank Goodness for Digital cameras and Smart phones
>>
I'm about at the same stage of the restoration process too, but you were bold enough to pull the dash and Windshield
Best of Luck!!

Re: SPL311-04749 1967 1600 Restoration
Well that took longer than expected. Its amazing how quickly a drill with a wire wheel will wear out your wrist and hand.
Its not a concourse finish, since I brushed it on, and Eastwood is kind enough to pre-thin it for spray gun with no other option, so brush strokes are somewhat visible. But its better than when it was.

Now the fun part, get the sand blaster operational, and start cleaning up all the other parts and bolting them back on!

Lol. That looks exactly like my garage.
Down to the spot on the frame where the serial Number was masked as the frame was painted.
Some many bits to bolt on

Yea, I need to put a light coat of black on there. I'm just worried that the chassis paint will just flood fill the light stampings.RustyBucket wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 6:35 pm Down to the spot on the frame where the serial Number was masked as the frame was painted.

Maybe do a quick spray of clear coat and leave it like that so it is easy to find and read?

Yea, that's what the previous owner put on the car when I bought it. Its okay, they will do well when the car gets painted.
It also had some unusual seats that I already threw out, which I think came from a 1970s Nissan Silvia/200SX
