I usually only listen to talk radio, so the stock AM suits me just fine! Although a neighbor did give me an FM converter. Evil man he is!!
On the theft front, the best thing you can do is not park it where it is at high risk of being stolen or stripped and keep good insurance coverage...

I know you are down there in sweet Jacksonville, but I'm here in LA, there is no safe place!
I wonder if it is possible to get one of those things cops put on cars with too many tickets.....it goes on the wheel.... That would keep theives from driving off.

Well, if it isn't safe anywhere there, then how safe are you? Perhaps time to relocate to a more secure location?
Regarding the Police boot, I did hear tell of a body builder that was PO'd that his car had a boot put on it. He ripped it off with his bare hands!

anti theft
Kragen sells a lock for the clutch pedal..no clutch no drive...
Then a removable stereo..
And carry a lightweight car cover and cover whenever you don't feel comfortable..besure to spray paint an identifying mark on the cover just incase someome steals it..
Anyway those 3 items will certainally give you layers of defense..
I have all 3 plus an alarm..No issues in 5 years

Holy moly, $239.00 for 6 months of liability insurance! I've got Hagerty insurance. $145.00 per year. 300/100 liability. No deductable. Insured for $18K. But, it can't be a daily driver. You must have another car as your daily driver. I think there is limit of 2000 miles per year use. It is supposed to used for car club events, shows and club runs etc.

I think very one is thinking way to much about anti-theft protection. It's really simple. Remove the choke knob replace it with a late model wiper knob and your done.
Let the car thieves figure that one out. I know my car would not even consider starting unless I choke the hell out of her.
They will be looking for and ignition kill switch, fuel shut-off,etc. By the time they figure it out the battery will be dead from them cranking on it.

As far as the body parts, what about all those people waking up in the hotel with a kidney missing???
You can buy the boot and various other giant handcuffs for the wheels, but then if they get pissed and try to go they hammer the rocker panels.
A car cover seems like a reason to see what's underneath.
I would use a standard type alarm with a proximity sensor, warning and or alarm if touched or reached into and a visable imobiliser and a starter and/or ignition cut out.
Another one that sounds crazy is the Kryptonite NYC motorcycle chain and padlock. It's covered with padded nylon.go around the steering column and wrap around the brake pedal. You can't cut it without a torch or cut off wheel.

You could probably make a very secure cover for the hood release or relocate it somewhere very hidden to prevent hotwiring.
Beyond that, I would move if I could.
I like the commercial with the car cover that looks like a clapped out Chevy Citation with an Evan camoflage paint job

You've obviously never blown out a clutch slave. I can drive your car 100 miles without touching the clutch pedal.ganderson wrote:Kragen sells a lock for the clutch pedal..no clutch no drive...

Now, if you locked it"down"... That's something.
