Does anyone know where the hyraulic clutch bleed valve is on a 1968 1600? I see the master cylinder on firewall and bubbles come up when clutch is depressed. Clutch does not move (gears grind🤕). Just where the heck is the actual bleed valve for the clutch itself. Even the master cyl has no bleed valve nut. I am 75 and have fibromyalgia, but if I know where to go, I'll get at it somehow!!

Thanks anyone for any help.

Chuck

Are you looking for the clutch bleed valve? Itf so it is built into the clutch slave cylinder, under the car, attached to the transmission. It's closer to the passenger side so you'll want to elevate that side of the car to get to it.

Although it's the old. This reprinted 311 manual is still tops:
Either:
The Datsun Roadster Book Part VII REPRINT SRL311 2000 Sports Workshop Service Manual U-20 and 5-Speed Supplement
or for 1600:
The Datsun Roadster Book Part VI REPRINT 1966-67 1600 Sports Workshop Service Manual
They are $15 each on Amazon as of Aug 2022

The author has other excellent books but you can't go wrong as these top two for starters.
Good luck and ask more questions and if I misunderstood the question, then Whoops, my bad. Ask it again.

Check the pin on the pedal for wear and slop. If bad it will limit how far the clutch dis-engages.
