I would be a little worried about it when the arm goes fully up. Maybe you can get some friends to pus down on the car and see what the travel is.
I checked mine over and found the one was bent and weld broken. Took a bit of effort to get it fixed correctly.

Re: Sway bar install
Very timely post. I am having a similar struggle installing one of Dean's Comp bars. I have installed the stock thickness bar before without issue but not sure if the thicker bar makes for more "challenging" install.
I have tried with with wheels on then second time with wheels off and jacking up lower A arm. Could only jack one A-arm up at a time due to number of jacks. Can get a 2nd one if both Lower A-arms need to be raised to close to parallel at the same time. Also used lithium grease on inside of new bushings and Lower A-arm channel.
Tried securing main pivots first (loosely) and other attempt securing end link caps first.
The main problem is the bar end is not going in equally on both ends in the end links. Being pulled to one side more when securing man pivots. Did confirm bar is not bent and profile is identical to stock bar I took off.
I wouldn't think this should be this hard to install.
Any silver bullet advice?

Re: Sway bar install
I would think you have a problem with front towers as Pete does. Mine fits evenly on each side.
