14x7 with +15 offset, 195/55 front on short comp springs, 205/60 rear tires, no interference

A 7” rim with +30 does fit, but with little to spare. So a 14x6 with +38 would fit given the math. It will favor the inner (leaf spring side) and so the tire selection and how it looks at the outer wheelwell can really only be fully known with tire choice mounted.Jeff55 wrote: Tue Feb 25, 2025 7:39 pm How about a 14 x 6 with a 38 offset would they work on a 1969 Datsun fair lady?
Also take into consideration front caliper and sway bar clearances!fairlane292 wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 12:19 pmA 7” rim with +30 does fit, but with little to spare. This is 15x7 +30 225/45/15
Indeed. I am only speaking to the rear rim and tire.Alvin wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 12:44 pmAlso take into consideration front caliper and sway bar clearances!fairlane292 wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 12:19 pmA 7” rim with +30 does fit, but with little to spare. I’m surprised to see that with 6” rim, +20 and those tires. Did you find similar wear on the other rear wheelwell. If you haven’t, the body needs to be centered on the chassis to get a proper read on clearance. Would be good to hear from you about the other side. Thanks, JimJohnnyRoadster wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 5:57 pm I have the Rota 15x6 (4x114.3 +20m) with Yokahama 195/55/15 for tires. I thought everything was fine. Doing my leaf springs and front suspension now. When I took off the rear wheels, there has been some rubbing on the inner fender. Not much, so I am guessing it happens over bad bumps, or when I had lots of weight in the car. It was enough to make some damage to the inside of the tire.
