Laguna Seca is a great venue, almost half way for each...
There's camping and hotels, stuff for the significant others in town, couple it with a race event (like the recent historics) and some roadsters would show for sure...

Victor, I think you're confusing "tuck and roll" with "rub and tug". Tuck and roll is an interior style that was very common in low riders back in the day. That was one of the "other" things that people would go to Tijuana for.

Laguna Seca would be nice. As long as we all give the thumbs up to one location then we can move on from there....

Just move from there, or here, as the case may be. Monterey Bay is a haul and a half, but it's lovely. If ya'll want to meet at L. Seca, that's just fine. A side trip up (or down) the Big Sur is worth the price of admission.

How about Halloween weekend? SCCA vintage racing that weekend at Laguna Seca. Could be fun, maybe some of us would even get out on the track.

What are the requirements to get on the track?

Here's the rules I found. Not hard core, but there are a few things that most of us don't have.

And here's the link to the site of the guys hosting the event:

Although it would be a fun event to attend there would be none of us getting on the track. It is a racing event sponsored by the SCCA. First requirement eliminates most of us. A competiton license, second is a log book from one of the sanctioned racing organizations, and thirdly a transponder for the car. You can rent a transponder but the first two are a lot harder to aquire without attending a three day drivers shcool sponsored by the SCCA and meeting the GCR's for a complete tech inspection. Tech inspections for the SCCA are a lot more involved than looking at seatbelts and checking your helment. I think if we want track time we should look at Thunderhill or Buttonwillow. They both have rentals for high performance driving. Piggy backing with some other event would make the most sense as they would have done all the hard worlk. More of us should attend the All Datsun Meet as they already have the track day set at Thunderhill yearly. If we truly want a north meets south event Buttonwillow is the place. Any way, my thoughts.

Hey that looks like it might be doable. I'll be down there anyway for thanksgiving. I think I need to get some new brake pads and nomex gloves ASAP!
Are there any other roadsters going?
