I want disc brakes to fit under the 13" wheel on a 1500.

Contact Mike at bluehandsvideo@frontier.com as he makes these brackets for the 411 but also does setups for the Roadster, Z and trucks.

Here is some more progress. I am nearly done with the bodywork and have started to strip the car. I am using 80 grit to get the respray job off and then 320 to strip the original white paint. I am hoping to have it ready to paint in the next two weeks!! I just mounted a new set of race tires on a second set of Rota RB's for my 67 1600 vintage race car so I put them on the wagon to check for offset and fit. The wheel gap is very large in the front now as there is no motor in it. I plan on using lowering blocks in the rear to reduce the wheel gap there. I was able to pick up a good windshield and a rear seat bottom this weekend so I am thrilled with that.

Have been busy but still moving along. I completed updating the front suspension with some new parts and even blasted and painted the upper and lower A arms. I plan on finishing the bodywork by the end of this month if the weather cooperates. I want to paint it by the middle of May and then the fun starts, installing the KA24DE and 5 speed!!

Motivating. My '66 wagon has been waiting patiently for years.

Here are a few more shots of the suspension work and the strip and prime of the engine bay. The body is nearly stripped of all of the paint short of some of the door jams and edges I need to do by hand. The rest of the car is down to bare metal and has been sanded with 320 grit to get it ready for a high build etching primer.

So it has been quite awhile since I updated this thread. I have finally finished the bodywork and painted it this weekend. Next is to trailer it to my buddy Keith's in Vegas to make the motor and trans mounts for the KA24de and install them. I am buying a wiring harness that will make hooking the modern motor up to the old car a lot easier. I still have to paint some of the interior trim pieces and will have the windshield installed before it goes to Vegas. I am very happy with the color I chose, Datsun 562 teal. I am posting the pics in a couple posts as to not have too many in one post.

Final set of photos. This is with the clear on. I will cut and buff it next weekend to give it a nice high shine and eliminate some of the over spray.

Looks great, nice work. It's fun to see all that work boiled down to a one-day post!

So work continues on the wagon. I am finally sanding it down and buffing it. I just recovered the dash, restored the ashtray and installed rear seat belts. I used 1/8 inch steel plate to reinforce the body where I welded captured nuts to mount the belts. I hope to have the wagon completely buffed in the next couple weeks and then I will install the door glass and have the windshield installed. It will then be time to install the KD24 and 5 speed.

So it has been awhile since I updated the build. I have been busy of late so here is the update. I installed the 3 inch lowering blocks and new rear brake cylinders. I am just waiting for the new brake shoes to button up the rear. I installed new weatherstripping in the doors, installed the door latches and handles along with the locks. BTW the locks and ignition are all original and use one key. I polished and installed the rocker trim. I installed the gauge pod I cleaned and painted. I mocked up the carpet so I knew where to install vinyl along the interior rockers. I started to install the interior rocker vinyl and I installed new LED license plate lights as the original mounted on the bumper that I deleted. I also started to mock up the rear decals. It has been a busy couple of weeks but it is nice to see the progress.
