Re: BikerMike's 1972 240Z
I always was looking for a '72 but now I'm considering a '71. What are the major differences between a '71 and '72? I thought they only really changed with the '73 emissions requirements.jrusso07 wrote:72 240Z is the best year in my opinion. Rear axle shafts set straight with rear wheels...and I am biased because I have owned two in my Datsun affection...sold one a few years back...the flat spot on my forehead will likely never heal as its a recurring injury.
Although, i am Glad it went to a good home.
Congratulations Mike!

Re: BikerMike's 1972 240Z
There is some variation from Series 1 through the Series 4 cars. I believe model year 1972 cars are considered Series 3.

Re: BikerMike's 1972 240Z
The one thing I like about the 72 over the earlier years is the angle at which the rear short shafts come off the differential. Early years are swept back toward the rear, where 72 they are perpendicular to the drive shaft.
