Getting around to attempting this reinstall of the 2 forward posties. I did it before and it was a pain, but a few good suggestions here.
On the high windshield car do most people take the window out? Not much room regardless but wondered what was done.

On the posts the screw stud will unscrew from the post. I took the stud out and put it through the hole from the inside with the washer and nut on. Then I put on the plastic washer and screwed on the post. Then it was easy to turn the stud back in to the post and tighten up. Well, as easy as that small space allows.
66 stroker, almost done.

Re: Posties and twisties
I think that works with genuine Nissan posties only, as Stan posted earlier. Not sure if those are still available, but it is a handy design

Can't you still get them? A search shows the 20mm sill available. Hook-Male - Nissan (97751-12900)

Re: Posties and twisties
I had some regular posties , so I went ahead and got one installed instead of waiting. I removed the window and vent window and it was pretty accessible. I must have tried it before without removing the bits...do not recommend that.
So naturally that led me to noticing the broken rear vertical track for the window , so in process to get that welded with some kind of reinforcement. Asking on another thread for ideas..
I love it how one thing leads to another

Re: Posties and twisties
Four of them at the back for the roof are very difficult to get to. I finally assembled washers and nuts onto the posties with RTV silicone coating. Next day I removed the nut/washers assembly from the stud and I was able to put them on easily.
