On further inspection I have no spark. Found broken LG/B wire from coil cut spliced to #3 pin on computer. Still no spark. Checked continuity of all wires to distributor ok. I will continue to work on ignition system. I ordered pts for inline fuel pressure Schrader valve. Any thoughts on my ignition system.

I had no spark. First I found the LG/G wire from the coil cut I repaired that. Then I found the B/W wire to the distributor with no power. I repaired this. Now I Have good spark, still not running off to the fuel system . I am concerned the B/W wire has 12 volts. I found the other source had 5 volts. Should I be concerned? Any thoughts?

The b/w wire should have 12V up to the ballast resistor, and 8V past the ballast resistor, to the coil.

I don't have a resistor in the system. The wire runs from the distributor through the engine loom to the ECCS relay on the CanAm box. So should I add a resistor?

No worries just hoped I hadn't over looked something else. On to oil pressure and cooling issues.

Drove the car!!! First time in 26 years. Just down the block and back. Engine and trans good, brakes bad. I am excited, thanks to all for your input. To be continued.

Congrats on successful install . The sr20de is definitely the perfect engine package for these cars and the swap is not that hard once you get started .

I have been working on the car. Dive a bit the start a new list. Found the tires out of round. Could that be due to sitting flat for years?? Swapped for originals will check tomorrow. Redid tailpipe, didn't like the first one. Still have idle problems, need to work on that. I am very pleased with the SR-20 pulls all the way to 7500 rpm.

Ummm, a rotten tire at speed is a recipe for disaster my friend! Would hate to hear about the body work the car (or you) might need should the tires be less than up to the more powerful engine and an enthusiastic driver! Go fast, be safe, have fun!
