Oh, the bling!

I saw this site a year or so ago. Looks to be better options today.

fyi Alvin. It was your posts and images that convinced me to go with Work Equip! My car, Marguerita thanks you, my bank account does not!

I hear you brother! When Eddie indulged me I was spoiled. The 01's look nasty I love them. What sizes did you end up going with?

Alvin

15X6 +20 Fronts
15X7 +20 Rears

I'm in the process of upgrading to GTR brakes so expect I'll need spacers on the fronts.

Do you want to make tire recommendation? I am leaning towards Yokohama S.Drive 195/55R15.
I am not an aggressive driver so just want a grippy comfortable ride.

Thanks

Garth, all that $$ and you went super conservative!? IMHO these wheels look good only if there is enough dish. That tire and size should be perfect.

I can't stand the look of the open hub - why spend so much money on wheels and tires only to leave them unfinished? In my opinion the steelies with hubcaps look better than anything with an exposed bearing cap.
Not going to argue, just agree to disagree.. I was happy that Volk sells the wheels without the center caps, because I would not be using them anyway.
mikepal wrote:The downside (not sure how they are with Datsun specs) was the 6-8 month wait time when ordering a set.
That was about right, although mine took about an extra 2 months because the port workers were not working. They were floating, right out there in the harbor, at anchor.

The center caps just fall off when the brakes get hot

It's OK Tom! We all know you suffer from ugly grease cap syndrome. If your caps don't look pristine, then it's a must-cover situation!

Not good enough. Show us pictures of what's hiding under your front center caps.

I don't have shots without the caps, but they are clean, I even put new bearing caps on a few years back. Still think they are ugly!
If I lost the center caps I have and couldn't find replacements, I'd buy new wheels, with caps.

Wheels without caps only works on dedicated race cars. Not even street cars that are run on the track.

Since this has diverged ever so slightly from the original poll, I thought I'd post a pic of my humble wheels.
Remember they are older than some of the org members.

Also, notice I'm lowering my front end. The way I'm doing it is keeping it off the ground so it
feels lower when it lands :smt059
These pics are great, for showing off your polishing defects too.

I like the appliance wheel look. I painted my mesh a metallic grey and polished the lip.
