Not that I am aware of. All of the fenders that I have seen were bolted on unless some PO got the hot wrench out.

Sorry, I didn't mean the fenders, I meant the front apron - or am I wrong there too?

Apron is spot welded to the grill support, which is welded to the inner fenders.

I believe the fenders are bolted and the grill support and apron are welded.
Anyway, being on the East Coast and have just bought my 4th roadster / parts car, yours doesn't look all that bad. From what I've seen, that's typical rust areas, not too bad at that, and not too hard to fix.
Taking it apart is fun and fast. Putting it back together takes some time but is so neat to see it come back to life. Be careful, it might just become a sickness. You find yourself buying hole cars just for one part. I have a very understanding wife.

Welcome! I'm sorry I didn't meet you at Solvang but there is always next year. I think you made the right decision to pull and rebuild the motor. with all that dried coolant there were bound to be cooling/ water flow issues.

Are you sure about that......I took fender off a 68 in 1969. Turning it into a race car, we need to remove all the excess weight (made our own purple panels)......The fender were only bolted on.
