I have had the honor of flying into Kamloops one time, many years ago. Scariest flight I have ever been on, but breathtaking views the whole way! Thanks for sharing Ted.

Okanagan tour 5-17-15

A RAINY overnight in dry country.
And the power went out for 3 hrs in the AM so we practiced our Boy Scout skills
and made coffee on the propane grill.
Got in a short drive in the afternoon.
Ross and Bill Neal left to drive home in the rain.

Okanagan tour 5-18-15.

Carl, Garth and Ted were the tour members who stayed until Monday.
A beautiful sunny day for my return to Bellevue.
Took some side routes and was all day on the road.
Pictures from Osoyoos BC at the border and along the Columbia river in Washington.
About 1300 miles total for me.
A GREAT Tour!
Many thanks to my Canadian friends.
Thanks to Garth for organizing this first of hopefully many more annual tours.
AND special THANKS to the women, Kathy, Silvie, Susan and Shirley, who made this event a success!

Ted.

Nice shots, Ted. A couple of years ago I drove through Osoyoos on the way home from the Kelowna Matsuri and ran the little blue roadster up the switchbacks that you took your first pic from. I was passing trucks with fifth-wheel trailers and lots of cyclists who were toiling up that grade... only time I noticed the temp starting to get in the red near the top of the climb.

Cheers,

As for next year we'll try to be a little more organized with the day trips. For a roadster event to be successful, the ladies must be happy so we will plan some interesting alternatives, also short drives for tourists and long drives for hard core drivers. There is many challenging and scenic routes to choose from in the Okanagan.

I am hopeful we can get 20 roadsters next year and several days of good driving and good times. :)
