I used parts both from a 2000 civic gas tank and a 1997 integra gas tank to modify my fuel tank. I used the integra fuel pump and the civic fuel sending unit

Can't wait to see it Shan't. :) Give us notice when you take it to SuperCar Sunday, and a fun run would be neat also.

Shant,
Great progress! This is also inspirational for folks that might feel an SR20 swap is a "costly" alternative. Mods can you please move this to the Engine Swap section?

shant67 wrote:I had originally planed to spend 3k on my swap but I fell 1.5k short. here is my sr20 swap in a nut shell

engine trans and ecu $1300
wiring harness $500
engine mounts $350
engine jig $150
alternator bracket $250
alternator $65
exhaust manifold $75
civic aluminum radiator and fan shroud $150
fuel tank mods and welding $500
battery relocation $100
fuel line and tools to complete the job $100
also add $300 for miscellaneous parts

I still need to purchase
mass air flow sensor +- $200
drive shaft +-$300

this is not including many hours of labor

so what parts did you end up underestimating?

@inline4 at first i figured all i needed was the engine and trans $1300 mounts $400 maf $200 rad $150 engine harness $500 and $500 for extra parts. Then there were other expenses that i didn't calculate. I figure $4500 is the bare minimum to install a sr20de if you can perform all the labor.

@Alvin Im going to make a nice video soon ...
