I believe we are talking about two different air dams. About the one mounted on the blue car, Alvin posted one of these mounted "upside down ". The angle was backwards as it ended at the wheel lip. I mounted the one on the blue car. Also didn't like the look at the join lip. Managed to tuck the air dam lip up into and behind the cars valance. Then clamped and pop riveted one to the other. Used fender type washers on the inside " fiberglass" side. Dry fit a couple of times, and filed some fiberglass to help the fit. Can't see the attachment, can drill out the rivets for any repairs. Downside, I Didn't put enough paint on dam, road rash after first 100 miles, damn. I do like the look though, not quite as low.
Edit.. Mounted one "like on the blue car" not that actual one. Thanks

You'd have to upload them to photobucket or something to host the photo. At least that is how I would do it.

@ Tomakze, can you post a picture of the air dam you are trying to install?
@Greg, you can always send your pics to me and I can post them: alvingogiATgmail.com
Here is an example of the BRE spoiler mounted "upside down":

Look closely you can see the screws fastening the top part of the air dam to lower valance(body)

Does anyone know if the first version of the spook is being reproduced? It did not have the oil cooler scoop.

Thanks Alvin. Guess I need to wash the car...
I cut off the lip, then bent the bottom of the fender and valence edge down flat using duck-billed vise grips until flat and parallel, clamped the dam to the car, modified the ends to match the fender wheel well, marked where I wanted the bolts to go, unclamped, drilled the holes in the dam, reclamped to the body, drilled the mounting holes, installed the bolts and ta da, done! I used 10-12 small bolts, it is solid as a rock.

The air dam I am installing is identical to the one on the first page. I'm tring to figure out if I want to cut off the lip or not. If I leave it, I can mount the air dam lower, but then I risk scrapping it on the notoriously bad roads out here... I may trim it until it is nearly gone, leaving just enough to add some extra strength, and then mount it from underneath like others have done. I like that idea.
I am slightly ahead of myself with this one. Before I can mount it, I still need to finish applying POR15 to the entire front end of the car, and then undercoating to the inside of the fenders, and then install the fenders on the car again, lol! I just wanted a game plan ahead of time, so I know how to proceed. I build a car like I play chess... as many steps ahead as possible. Gives me time to think and make plans. Once I get to the mounting stage I will update this. The car is headed to the body shop this week to have the windshield frame cut out and replaced, so my hands are tied for a bit.
