Ditto for me - donation sent and good luck! I'm pretty sure it will go just fine, though.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and the donations. Much appreciated. Had a rough week at work. Yesterday we lost both core switches which took us down hard for close to 12 hours. Tough when you are in a manufacturing plant and rely on that connection. Still going forward with tomorrow.

Thanks for the update on the update. From a user's point of view will see any new features or is more of a maintenance update? Just curious :)

The forum will look a bit different as it will be based on the prosilver style. Right now we have subsilver which is being phased out in the new version. Some other features include:

Responsive Theme

The default style, prosilver, has been completely overhauled to ensure a modern experience on all of your devices. User friendly on a tablet or smart-phone.

Notification System

Easily configure how you prefer to be notified about various events, such as when you are quoted in a post. The new extensible notifications feature lives in the header of every page and provides a centralized place to receive alerts and other information.

Gravatar Support

Avatars may now be fetched from the Gravatar service, in addition to the previously available options.

OAuth Login

Register and login using your Google, Bit.ly, or Facebook accounts. Extensions can easily add other authentication services.

These are the big changes for the users.

Presuming the page will be down during this time frame. Wow, dunno what to watch for the duration!

Good luck for a smooth transition to the new format, and as always, thanks for the resource, infrastructure, etc.

Upgrade is postponed for a bit as I am at work troubleshooting an issue with our VOIP phone system. Probably residual from the Friday event. If I can get this fixed I will do the upgrade when I get home. So do not be surprised if you get bumped off this afternoon. I really want to get this done so we can start with a clean slate on a new system. Thanks.

Okay, for the most part it went pretty well even though I got started later than planned. I still need to do some tweaking. The old gallery is gone. The newer Coppermine Gallery is no longer bridged to the forum so you will have to register to create albums and upload pictures. Plus sadly-folks whom had albums are not there any longer. The pics are but not your personal albums. I am going to copy all of the pictures from my backups to the Gallery. Let me know if you see any major issues but think we should be good to go. None of the posts were lost. So, welcome back.

Thanks Greg. Couple of minor issues but for the most part looks good. Tried it on my Android and it is much faster. Looks good there as well.

Steve, is it correct that I miss the button unread topics?
I can't find it.

Yes. It looks better than the older version on an Android. Looks fine on iPad & Android tablet as well.
