There is a Volkswagen color called Ultramaroon, hard to describe, it needs to be seen, different in pics, video and in person. Beige to gold toward maroon.

Okay the picture is of my old '67 Cougar but it is my favorite color for a vehicle.

Keep in mind colors look different on smaller cars. A color that looks great on a lager car may not look so great on a small one. I walked numerous car lots before I chose my Audi Silver.

Thinking about it, some of my favorite colors on Roadsters have been from premium brand cars. The cars I'm specifically thinking about are:

Karen Desirrello's car is a Lexus metallic red. One of my favorite colors on a roadster.

Kelly Foydl had the Best of Show car at the 2014 Multi-State Datsun Classic. In talking with her, she said it was a Mercedes metallic silver. She said she was looking for a color that would really make the chrome of the car pop, a theory I've always agreed with. Sorry, I can't find a photo handy.

Sally Rapp won first place in the Low Windshield 1600 category at the 2014 Solvang Datsun Roadster Classic. It was a Metallic Blue from a Maserati Quattraporte. An absolutely gorgeous color. Sorry, I can't find a photo of her car handy (this one stolen from the internet).
