Linda, with the header you have to take care for the starter, it must be a shorter model will it fit.
I am curies how easy the header fit in the engine bay, and performs.

Peter,
The header and short gear reduction starter fit well and it is easy to install.
Garm,
Ron at RD was very helpful, doing a clean up hone, block cleaning and cam installion of Durabond cam bearings. He also checked my measuring LOL.

Linda, im sure it's probably fine but one of the first things I would do is hook up clutch slave and make sure the shift lever engages and disengages the gears. Just piece of mind before attaching all else. Good luck.

Tom
Will do.
Thank you Tom and Monty for a full day of help.Tom led the way and did more than point! Monty was very helpful as well, guiding the tranny to the engine, pushing to line up the motor mounts , wrenching etc. Peter advised on the fine points of using his engine hoist and had the tools needed. Thanks to all.

Got the old engine out and the new one in. I am thrilled with the great progress. Now just need to hook it all back up, prime and go... 96 ponies!

Ha Ha Ha. I know...I have your wrench in my tool bag in the roadster's trunk, just for when we meet again. It will be soon.

There was no header on during the install and that seemed like the easier method.
During the removal it was attached though.

Still putting things back together. The engine bay is done except for the battery and fluids.
The tranny mount and driveline need to be hooked up.
Rain slowed things down a bit, but progress is happening :-)
