Hey Alvin.....
Does that offer extend to the rest of us??
I'll be in San Diego next month I could probably make time to drive a few roadsters. Ya know. Just for research purposes. ..

Of course, but I am in the Bay Area. There are however TONS of SR/KA swapped roadsters for you to drive in the SoCal area!

That's about how far you have to drive in the Midwest to see another roadster. So worth the drive.

If the difference is on the order of a couple thousand dollars, go SR20 all the way and never look back. Work a side job for a few months to earn the extra couple grand. This is your roadster you are talking about here.
Unless you are a diehard purist, think about the difference between EFI vs. twin carbs and points ignition, overhead cams vs pushrods, availability of factory parts, etc etc.
Years from now you'll be glad you got a modern powertrain.
My take, probably not a universal consensus.

I have a stroker R20 being assembled now which would be far less than your quote. PM for details! J. I think Michael and Kevin do beautiful work, but there is something to be said for staying with the R or U engine, not to mention there is much more involved to a well done swap than just the frame mods! Devil is in the details as they say...
