1963 SPL310 Roadster - Single Carb - Restore or Resto Mod

I appreciate all the advice and help. I think I am going to keep the drum brakes set up, but will probably upgrade to the dual reservoir master cylinder. I'll definitely change out the stock radio and just keep it if for some reason I end up selling the car. And of course switch out the stock rims and tires for some panasports (I just really like that look).

Last thing I need to figure out is how to start posting photos of the before, during and final resto.

It's your car, so do what you want. On the other hand, more to my way of thinking, it's unfortunate to radically 'molest' a rare car. We are only caretakers after all.

Our roadsters are becoming 'cult' classics, unlikely to reach the atmosphere of the Cosmo, Toyota 2000 & 800 or the Honda 600/800, but FUN and worthy contenders for the BEST of its ilk.

Few built, even fewer remaining.

I agree with James, if you feel the need to 'mod' something, get a 68 or later and have at it.

When I am driving my roadster - even with the discs, I strictly observe the 4-second rule and watch my rear-view mirror. Keeps me out of trouble.
