Clarks auto repair in Cupertino on imperial ave.- its a machine shop but they do odd jobs. A guy i used to work with works there now. They have some mixed reviews on yelp but I usually have a good experience with them. I had them work on some stuff for my mustang and my chevy.
They are on the expensive side though.

Hoping to take my cylinder to a shop for this repair also.
Wondering if I should separate it before or after the repair to clean it out?

I am not sure there is room, but a bleeder valve repair kit is my first idea for a repair.
I would try heat first if the bleeder is stuck. I would wrap the cylinder is a wet rag covered in aluminum foil and heat the bleeder.

Good info Phil. Like the idea of wrapping in rag/ tin foil to protect cylinder

Our favorite car show promoter, Harlan, referred me to Orme Bros,
www.ormebrothers.com, a place I had used before for my stainless brake lines years ago, they were very familiar with our cars. Thx Harlan
I went in , showed them the part, he took it to the back and before I could even get my wallet out looking for cash, he came back with it removed. Excellent! How nice it is when some one totally knows what they are doing! And they would not take any payment, wallet not even needed

Made my day... And if you look at the pic you can see the damage done before bringing it in.
So, highly recommend them, I think they do mail order also.
Now to clean it up and wire wheel the thread with a Dremel and open it again to check for debris from clean up.

Then time for the other side...
