I don't have a drivable roadster, but would like to see if I can make it.

What time in the afternoon does the BBQ begin and who do I RSVP to?

Thanks, hope to be there.

I copied Ted's post about our Pre-Fun Run drive that the three of us took. Just for those attending, the drive to the top of Washburn Heights will not be part of the Fun Run, the grade is to dangerous for a group to descend and have a stop sign at the bottom of the grade. Also just a reminder to please fuel up before arriving, see you Saturday...Bill

Bill Cole, Richard and Ted checked out the route for the Shedd Roadster BBQ Drive.
A beautiful 90 mile loop including the area farm fields, old barns, covered bridges, and the view from a butte.

Looks like a great time. On my list to attend next year in my '69 sr20 car. Ted and Richard's visit has given me the motivation to get it on the road! Pat Mahoney

Well, I have decided that it is more important for me to stay local this weekend as we are attempting to buy a house and I need to be available. Was really looking forward to seeing some folks and getting to know some 311s friends better, just didn't work out this year. If you see a black 67 2000 come rolling up, you will know that situation changed, but I kinda doubt it. Hope you all have a great time!!!

Shedd Roadster BBQ. Friday setup activities. 8-15-14

The early arrivals helped set up for Saturday.
Richard caught a big fish in the pond.
The Canadians arrived, Mitch, John, Carl and Ross.
Mitch had to be "rescued" as his left rear axle bearing gave out about 10 miles away.
No better place to break down. Free towing and there were 4 spare rear ends in the vicinity.
Lots of help and advice but we made Mitch do all the repairs.
Swapped in a complete left rear axle and all was fixed in 4 hrs. (1 hr shop rate).
Mitch will be repacking the rear wheel bearings annually from now on.
John got the prime camping spot.
Weather was perfect. Will be great for Saturday.

Shedd Roadster BBQ. 8-16-14.

A GREAT 7th Shedd Roadster BBQ today.
Weather was perfect. Drive was excellent. Food was super.
32 roadsters in total. 28 on the 3 hr drive.
Pictures of all the roadsters going through the covered bridge.
A number of non roadsters attended and we let them drive with us.
Highlight of the BBQ was the appearance again of Jack Scoville, veteran Roadster racer.
D production national champ in 1969.
Jack brought a box of DATSUN shirts and signed them for us.
Jack started racing in the 1950's! and has wonderful stories.
THANKS to Bill and Karen Neal for holding this wonderful roadster meet.
Every 3rd Saturday in August, so join us in 2015.

Here is a link to the pictures.

:smt006 Thanks for the great turnout this year. We had 32 roadsters, several nice Zeds, a cool Datsun truck, quite a few very nice muscle cars and a really nice Lancia. He is working on his roadster for next year.
Special thanks for all the help from everyone and also to Richard Shepard of http://www.rslaserkits.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for the dash plaques.

AND to Jack Scoville thank you for the retro Datsun T-shirts and for signing them for everyone.

Thanks again for all the help and support. See you next year!!

Bill;
A new record for Canadian cars at the Shedd! 6 ! We could not compete with the Oregon crowd but came in second in State/Province representation. Thanks again for your hospitality. We hope to match the Oregon hospitality by having a bunch of you come up to next years Kelowna trip in May.
