I think the trick is to delete the "s" in https when posting YouTube links. try it out

Just an FYI on embedding YouTube videos-as pointed out by several the link does not work with https. Go back to the video page and remove the S. Do a refresh of the page and you should see something like this. " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Copy and paste this link and it will always work embedded.

It looks like the secure link only shows up in your browser address bar if you are signed into Google.

The easiest way to grab a link that will work regardless is to click on the "share" tab below the video. It will give you a link address that will work.
