Thanks RFR for the compliment!
On the windshield weather strip question, I installed them as shown in A. There is a pic in the other weatherstrip thread. Although I was sloppy with the black adhesive...on the things to do to finisher list.

All it takes is a 18 gigawatt dilithium crystal powered impulse engine at each corner, two kagiga watt flux capacitors, a visitor from the future, and a desire!
I find it easier to work here, up top and underneath when she is hovering about 18 inches above the earth. Easier to rotate around too!

No it's like the Mach 5 (Speed Racer Reference, dating myself!), where it has built in jacks!
Just push the right button on the steering wheel!
P.S. - Spridel and Chim Chim might be in the trunk.

Greg,
frankly I can't see any difference - though I think the bend in the fastening strip should match the curve of the windshield frame.

Yeah, not sure my previous pictures were supporting the question clearly. I was wondering how the rubber (yellow) is supposed to bend in relation to the window (blue). Pushing outward toward the glass or pulling the glass inward.
I think previously, it was like Joe said. Picture A. Just can't remember.

Peter...what do you know about soft tops install?

A looks right but remember my comment regarding the retaining strip. Chris Breyer and I did his softtop, neat, but not perfect, time consuming, but doable

So the metal band strip (retaining clip)
RED should be curved toward the front
GREEN, not toward the back as it sits now?

It looks to me like the retainer in that position will cut into the rubber over time. How does it fit with the lip of the retainer facing forward on the inboard side?
Agree with Joe on the A pic for rubber fitment.

You well may be right - but my thiking was that it would make the rubber conform to the shapre of the A-pillar -
