Ya, I got some bad advice from the paint supply shop. I went DuPont Chromaclear last time and it hit hard and fast! The supply house said to cut it, then wait 3 days, then buff. Holy shit, I was freakin out cause I could NOT get the scratches out. I was getting ready for a meet, and spent literally 24hrs straight buffing the bitch, living dangerously on Hot Pockets and coffee, not a combo I would suggest! It finally came out. The saving final product to get the swirls out (swirl remover was not doing it!) was Eagle One Nanowax... For once a product that worked exactly as they said it would. LOVE the stuff, but only good for cars with really good paint unless it's cleaned well first. I don't see it around much, but keep an eye out as it really works. Black in the sun with swirls is not what you're looking for!

Sounds like your painter is on it... Should be great! And don't worry, almost all cars have flaws, mine has plenty, but black is beautiful!

Kendall,

I think, based on your history and the color name, you should rename your car "Thunderstruck".

Awesome! As soon as re-assembly begins I'm going to crank that song up!!! This is also a great version I was recently turned on to. " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(I did install a stereo in the new garage too)

Major interior kit is on the way including side mirrors, new center console padding and windshield pad set. Seats and console will head off to the upholstery shop as soon as it arrives. 3 point seat belts arrived from Snake-Oyl. Dynamat also arrived this week. Currently buffing and polishing as much stainless as possible. Re-chroming the front end parts (grill, headlight rings and side molding) will have to wait for next winter. I'm done waiting, I want to drive! Rota's are heading over to Discount Tire this week for mounting and balancing with a set of BF Goodrich G-Force Comp 2's.
I found the reverse light in a box of junk that I got from the PO. Needs gasket and lens. I banged out a couple of dents and then repainted it this morning. I bought that 67.5 rear view mirror dash mount off of eBay. Still considering the mirror on the dash. Had to snag it while I had the chance.

I've contacted a couple of vendors about a few odds and ends. I NEED the highly coveted day/night rear view mirror. (You rotten... er uh, I mean fine Roadster owners keep out bidding me every time one pops up online :mrgreen: ). My eyes don't work so well at night anymore. Wait, not true... my eyes are a little more sensitive to lights at night. That's why I blacked out the glass on the truck. Looks cool too. There, now I don't sound so old. I'm not old, just older.

Still pacing in the garage.

Oooooo! Pretty pretty pretty! Congrats on completing another stage. It gets more fun now, especially when you start adding chrome and emblems, etc. You'll put on one part, then stare at it for 20 minutes from all angles, then do the next...

Been tinkering after work and spent the weekend doing some stuff. Check it out! We're getting there.
Hubs need trimming to take the Rota's. Or the Rota's need trimming to take the hubs. :shock:
Glass is next Saturday.

Thanks Roadster owners. Glass on Saturday, then we drive!

More stuff installed. New tail lights, Rota's are on and...

Ta-Da! The very expensive rear license plate light.

More pics this weekend.
