Was able to get some more work done this week. Primed and painted lots of parts that I had previously blasted. Some progress is better than none...

Had a few hours to work in the garage again today. Felt good to be assembling, instead of disassembling! Baby steps...

Think how much fun and satisfaction you'll feel when you bolt those beautiful pieces on the car!

Loving these tips! The tumbler definitely seems like a great way to do hardware, I sandblasted a bunch of hardware for my Uncle's restoration and maaan it's tough going with so many small parts. Looking forward to seeing more!

With work, the holidays and house projects, it seems like forever since I got to work on the Datsun. Spent some time yesterday cleaning the garage (!) and then got my fuel pump all reassembled with new parts and replated hardware. Looks a bit better now than it did when I pulled it off the engine.

You were able to remove and replace the lower diaphram? Some of those pumps can be rebuilt and some can not.
Looks good!
Also, double check that you have the correct spacer in, it looks thin. Very important

I thought the spacer looked thin once I had it off, but I bought a new one and it's the exact same thickness, 15/64".

Well, since we're under a "shelter in place" order here in the Bay Area, I've managed to spend some time working on the Datsun. Valve cover is just about done, polished and painted.

Turned out pretty nice considering how it looked after 20 years of sitting. The leaf on top is a nice touch:

Also went by Rebello before all the Corona craziness began to drop off parts and check on my engine's progress.

They ran out of Datsun blue paint, so it's black for now, but it's coming together! They are considered an "essential business" and are still operating.

Now I'm working on fixing the exhaust holes in the frame that were butchered by a torch-happy muffler shop in the 90's, prepping engine compartment for paint, etc, etc.

Hope you are all staying safe and sane out there!

That's weird. I even looked at this thread while not logged in, and I can see the pics. I wonder what that's about?

Just a guess but I believe there is a permission's issue with you using your Google drive. None of your pictures work in this thread now. You can see them because you have the proper permission's.
