Hahahaha... love it. I appreciate all the advice guys... I'm currently compiling a list of everything you all have said so I can start off on the right foot.

My ultimate plans are to just get it checked and running smooth for the next few months. I will be paying off my Goat in about a year, and will then finance a full frame-off body and paint job. Then begins the real work, I suppose... I would like to keep the engine stock, with only a pair of Mikuni's (which I will need some advice on) and a different exhaust.

My big fears at this point are body cancer and missing small parts that may be hard to source (ie: the chrome strip on the hood intake) Luckily, the car is primered underneath, and only painted with plasti-dip for easy removal when it's time for body work. From what I've gathered, I need to focus on the wheel wells, the trunk, and the space under the battery? Any other cancer-prone areas?

Bottom of the door posts and floor boards for rust.
The chrome hood scoop is actually pretty easy to find - they are on e-bay pretty regularly and I am sure that members here may have a few lying around.

Let me know if you ever get to Salt Lake. I can help with anything you need.

Here is another Boise roadster owner. Actually now we have two! Picking up Butch's (Sleepyzzz) 67.5 with the CA18DE, 5 speed and coil over suspension in two weeks. 1550 miles in a car I've never seen. Should be interesting!

Well, mine should be in the garage on Sunday, and then the fun begins. Would be great to get a chance to see your cars and talk shop. I am a new person to roadsters, so the more I can learn the better:)

Cograts, as being a previous resident of Boise (cross the street from Borah HS) Do yourself a Favor Make sure you get rid of all the rust and undercoat it before you get it on the streets

nadda, it will be fun :P i drove it 1,300 miles back to AR from Salt Lake City, UT and it was a great trip. the only thing i regret is letting my son talk me into taking the northern I 80 route instead of going thru Denver like i wanted to. He had never been that way so i caved. i will be sitting in the air port parking lot with the car, and will have the parts all packed in the roadster. remember pack light, or plan on having your luggage sitting in the wife's lap.

Hey Butch,
Still debating on which route to take. Have a good friend in Amarillo TX. Might go south to see him and then up through Denver. Also have a good friend in Pittsburg KS. Is there any must see roads in Kansas? One thing for sure, we will find a fun and scenic route through the Rocky Mountains.

Let me know if you need anything going back through Salt Lake, or need a place to stay.

Thanks for the generous offer Kyle! Would be great to meet you. We don't have a clue when we might be through SLC so we will play it by ear.
