I'm more interested (living in Houston) in the A/C installation! Should be plenty of room on the engine for a small Sanden compressor. Your oil cooler mounts on the front of the frame are almost ideal for the condenser as well. Should be a breeze

I haven't planned for any super duper stereo system yet. The upper touchscreen in the console is sized for a double DIN head unit and I have a Clarion NX702 unit installed with HD radio, Navigation, DVD and CD capabilities. The front screen rotates down to allow the installation of various media formats.

Right now I have two 5 1/4" pioneer speakers behind the seats with component tweeters that will be installed in front (not done yet). For right now, I'll installed an old Alpine amplifier in the trunk to give it a little more sound.

The good news is that I can add a better sound system later.

I forgot to respond to your question about power windows and door locks. I did purchase a power window kit after talking extensively with the manufacturer and giving them measurements. Unfortunately I was unable to get the system to fit and may have to look at a different type of lift mechanism (I was not real happy with the company). I haven't looked at power locks . . . yet.

Have you looked at the vintage air rear/remote mount system? You could mount the box in the trunk or some other discrete location and run to the dash from there. I saw this option on Chop, Cut, Rebuild in a '41 Willy's. They mounted the box behind the seats and ran everything under the car. Just a thought.

No I haven't looked at rear ac systems for a number of reasons but, most important to me are that the Gen IV is servo operated and it is the only system that will interface with the ISIS system touchscreen. Since I've eliminated a lot of wiring under the dash, removed all cable operated heater controls, and removed the original heater, I've freed up enough room to fit the evaporator and most of the vent hoses. Passenger toe space is slightly reduced but acceptable. I've actually been able to raise the unit 3/4" since to photo was taken by cutting the original passenger air vent intake slightly. The vent is completely blocked by the evaporator anyway

UPDATE!!

The body was finally put on the frame for the last time. I used straps through the seat bracket holes in the floor and attached the straps to the rear differential of my 68 2000 which was on the lift. We then lowered the body on the frame using the lift.

The following Saturday, Buddy and I towed the car to Mild to Wild for the Vintage Air Gen IV air conditioning install. They did a beautiful job of fabricating brackets that went around the oil dip stick and located the Sanden SD-7 compressor about 3/4" above the steering shaft.

Two air vents will be installed in the center of the dash and two will be located just under the dash (in the triangle areas where the vent handles and hood release are located).

The car is coming to Solvang! (Well not under it's own power but it will be pushed into the show )

Ill be using the ac whenever the temperature allows. I can't wait to try it. We're going to put Buddy's Smoothline hardtop on for the trip to Solvang. Id like to get a carbon fiber hardtop eventually.

Wow, that car is awesome, great job. What radiator, fan are you going to use? I love seeing all the stops
taken out but still retaining the cars character. Do you have your heater hose configuration, special hot/cold
coolant to heater core valve figured out? Radiator hoses figured out? Glad to hear you are going to Solvang,
it is worth the trip. Power brakes? Cruise control?

The radiator is an aluminum Honda del Sol with stock electric fan, the condenser for the ac is a stock Honda del Sol.

I'll try and post photos of the coolant and heater lines going to the Vintage Air unit this weekend.
