You can also use fiberglass to make the mold. Wax, wax, wax, the hood, spray with PVA, then on goes the gelcoat. After that cures (but not too much) you can lay on fiberglass mat and resin. 3 to 4 layers of fiberglass mat should be enough.
Having gone through this entire process myself for hoods and trunklids already, I'd highly recommend getting a book on composite materials.
Also, don't start with something as big as the hood scoop. Start with something small to get a feel for how to work with the materials. I scrapped the first trunklid mold I made.

But the whole point of making the trunklid molds was to learn the process, so I could make hoods for the racecar. having a nice, light trunklid is a plus, though.

Hey guys,
Is the air scoop come in stock when the car purchase new? Or this is for autocross only?
I don’t recall my roadster has one, is the air scoop necessary?

are you talking about the one under the car? or on the hood?
it came on the hood under i don't know

Both came stock on roadsters. I feel they are necessary to keep the engine cool - the p.o. of my car did not however. The flange at the back of the scoop on my hood was pounded flat and tack welded shut

I do not know why. I ground off the welds and opened the flange back up, and immediately noticed a drop in engine temperature.

I just wondering if this air scoop is stock or this is for the autocross?

Unless I am mistaken, the air guide (as Nissan calls it) was used on all 1600s and 2000s. There were two variations that I have seen. The difference is in the mounting flange. They are fairly easily modified from one style to another. The mounting flange changed with the 67.5 model year. This helps with directing cooling air.
A different unit was sold for racing that doubled as an air guide and as a mount for the optional racing oil cooler kit. Expect to pay STUPID money for those if you can find them....

Thank you for clearing this out, I didn’t know this air guide existed until now, when I bought my car some of the parts already dismantled so I guess it did not come with it when I purchase my car.
Now I have to look for one.
