OK. now going datsun crazy. Picked up the '67 1600 donar car and got it home Tuesday. I know some said to rebuild the '67 but too many parts are missing. I'm going with the newer 2000.

stripped the 1600 down. pulled the body off, removed engine, trans, 3rd member and everything else off the frame. Built a body stand but modified it to hold the second roadster on top.

what area of the forum should I post pics and progression of the restoration?

Pics to come soon...

Wow, a second broken datsun home and apart in less than 1 month from the initial buy. I think he may get a field promotion to Roadster nut, unless he's another damned Hippie,of course.

Hey, they are REAL easy to take apart. I've done it many times. Now, the trick................is putting them back together again. :smt005

Cheers from the "damn hippie" :smt006

Try to avoid this look, there was head shaking and some muttering involved. Grey one is now in Ohio, Red one in Maine and Gold one went to Florida.

Just be a man and tell HER to go back in the house. Inside, she'll never see them.

Oh, make sure your garage is insulated....'cause that's where you'll be living. :smt005

Apparently you never met my Wife. Bombproof would be better. This is the woman who had 4 yards of stone delivered while the Datsun was in the garage. No Datsun driving until the stone was moved into the yard.

Dave, clearly, not unlike myself, you married above your paygrade.

I just keep telling my wife that having 3 roadsters in the garage and another 3 on the RV parking slab is better than me running around the casinos with my friends! It is cheaper too, and this way she always knows where I am at.

I know it's been some time, but as I'm sure you all know, life takes over and projects get put aside... Both datsuns are completely apart, but then work and other projects took up all my free time. My wife's jeep is now in the garage for body and suspension work. That's almost done and should soon be off for paint. Looking forward to summer when I can get back on the datsun for some sand blasting on the frame. Hope to have a full roller by the end of the summer.

I'll start a "readers ride" thread when I get the project back underway.
