Thanks Mike for organizing I had a wonderful time today! The weather was gorgeous and driving around with a bunch of roadsters is just what I needed.

Mike, Ken, Rolando and I met in downtown Saratoga. Rolando is looking for a roadster still, but he joined the fun in his souped-up Honda. Big Basin Way to Skyline was brisk and traffic free, here is a short video of the run up Skyline to Alice's Restaurant:

Alice's was crowded. We were not the only folks jonesing to get outside and enjoy the break from rainy weather. We met up with Rich and Corey, talked for awhile and headed down 84 towards San Gregorio.

This is a very picture-esque road that winds its way from the Santa Cruz Mtns. to the coastline, short clip:

Once we hit HWY1 we headed south towards Pescadero beach, it was unbelievably clear! watch ocean in video:

Stopped and chatted before heading back to Alice's via pescadero rd. Lots of folks interested in the cars. Had one dude say "what's wrong with MGs?" pointing to my wing sticker
Here are the five roadsters posing:
Ken's supercharged '68:

Mike's 67.5 SPL

Rich's '70 SPL

my 67.5 SPL

Corey's '68 SPL

check the album there are a few neat shots of things like Rich's license plate, Ken's new 240sx seats, and a super weird but cool mid-engined truck!

Looks like great fun! I had a garage lock down and...locked myself in
Much progress was made. I installed a distributor oil seal (%#$!); rubber shifter boot, vinyl boot and shifter plate installed; headrests which required "a little" sprucing up. Hah! And only 3 trips to OSH?!..
So, one small step for man...a stronger foot forward next time out...missed you guys!

I hope to be joining you guys in the not too distant future. I still have a lot of work to do, but seeing these photos gives me lots of incentive.

Hey, driving a roadster in a spirited fashion is a work out! Its much more involved than driving a Civic or Camry around.Garm wrote:That is awesome.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!
