Hehe - 7" wheels in back = 177.8mm. I guess if I DID go with 175's in back it would indeed be Hipari.

OK so maybe 185's in the back it is.

Or - I could try to sell these wheels to a Z or 510 guy and get some w/ the correct offset. The only problem would be finding someone who can afford to buy them!

Here are some photos showing how the wheels came out.

I mounted them on the car and the fronts look like there is plenty of clearance at the outside lip. The rears, the wheel is about flush with the folded in part of the fender lip. The center caps just fit over the front wheel hubs - I had the machinist open them up a bit to fit, etc. I'll get out to the garage tomorrow and get some pix of that.

So what do you guys think? Keep them or sell them to a Zcar or 510 guy or gal?

Cheers
James

WOW!
me likey
The lips turned out great james

Are you sure the fronts will be flush with decent-sized tires mounted?
if the rears appear to be flush with the lips, mounting a decent-sized tire will def. rub

can you get your machinist to take off material to make them +10?

OR sell them to 510 guys they will grab them up since they are low offset

Hi guys,

Here are some photos showing the wheels mounted on a roadster w/ stock fenders. I think I can get away with 185's but would have to roll the rear fenders. The rears are DEFINITELY pushing it.

Yes, I put them on Ebay to see if another Datsun fan wants them. They are incredibly sharp wheels and original Panasports so I think I should give someone else a shot at them before they go to the machinist.

I guess I should post them on some Z and 510 forums too - Which forum would you recommend?

Cheers

WAY PAST PUSHING IT!

The "close" part of the rear fender is halfway behind the rear axle (45 degrees from where you have the board) the rear of the opening.

Hi guys,

Good suggestions. I think I am even registered for Ratsun already I think. Any suggestions for a Zcar forum?

Alvin: feel free to post.

Phil, here's the link to the Ebay ad - so far no bids so I can cancel it:
