Thanks to the thread on the Flat Dash Conversion and my conversation with Kevin D. this weekend on how to get my windshield out, I finally decided tonight was the night to start.

So I very carefully removed the windshield. Kevin said he can do it in 5 minutes. It took me 17, but it was my first one.

Got the bolts out of the dash and tomorrow I'm going to unhook all the gauges etc. so that I can remove the dash completely.

Does anyone know if there is a market for a 1969 dash? I have a brand new, molded, dash cover with it. Should this stuff go in my dumpster or what?

Hey, what's up with your site? I went on to look at possibly getting something tonight and it said it was down. When will it be back up?

The server for spriso.com went down a week ago-- I have my team working on getting the site back up on a temporary server until a new one gets replaced. Hopefully we should be back online in a few days.

I was told by someone who has dozens of Roadsters: Never throw away an classic car part. Or some such words to that effect.

If you have room to store it, then store it. You never know when someone will need a guage and you can offer it cheap or free. Pay it forward works well on this site.

Just a tip from a guy that runs websites for a living - Bluehost.com. Great host with unlimited everything. They never have servers go down. I use them for a lot of sites.

Just a little tip from years of internet site building experience. Hope it helps.

The interior is too funny. I have a white 2000 in the garage with an interior kit new in the box from Dean. I ordered it as black seats with red inserts....

I'm going to stop by one of these days soon. I still haven't made it to Classic Datsun in Vista and that is only 10 minutes away from my work. lol

Today was a big day. I have been debating back and forth between a Ford 8" (which I already have) and a finding an RX-7 rear end. My biggest dilemma has been the cost of taking a Ford 8" with drums to disc brakes and then the whole conversion to a Roadster.

The RX-7 solution seems to be pretty well documented and I can always send it to Spriso if I need to. So last night I stumbled upon a REALLY nice condition RX-7 GSL-SE LSD rear from a 1985! I was nervous, but the guy only wanted $320!!! So I jumped on that in a heart beat.

So I'm committed to the RX-7 rear now. I'm excited and can't wait to see Spreadbury's and Alvin's up in Solvang. My goal is to have a working car by next year's Solvang, but being realistic it will probably be another year after that. But I am having a ton of fun doing it.

So Alvin, if you read this, I really like that four link you have. I might be all over your car with a camera. I hope that's alright. lol
