Hey, same as me. When I was 19 I bought a 3 year old '68 2000. Yikes that was 40 years ago! I'd bet get this second one put back together.

so is the only difference between the years in the body. any difference in the frame? im looking to swap an S13 or S14 sr20 into mine when i get back home in may. most of the swaps ive seen are from 66+? ive never done a swap that required any sort of fabrication. just a lot of wiring conversions and searching for the right stuff to make it fit.

No frame differences. The later (67+) cars have a torque bar to hold the rear axle in place. Otherwise all the same.
'64 and '65 were more rare in the US, plus any swap meant you have to change to front disks. The 66 (and-on) had them as stock equipment.

There are some detail differences. In addition to swapping on disc brakes, you will also want a stronger rear end than the 1500 unit.

that'll all be sorted out once i start on the build. strength is priority. this car WILL be driven and tracked as much as it can handle
