A picture from the weekend drive. I went with the low cost alternative for now as I am pouring a good bit more than I imagined into the car at present. I will get a nicer model when I redo the interior. Up next, new top.
I bought the same wheel. I looks similar to the stock wheel and is small enough that my legs don't hit it!

I might go a bit bigger later; even with the seats moved back, my knees were hitting the stock wheel. Your car is looking great.

Very nice and good for you, enjoy your fairlady and don't go for panasports < just kidding, but seriously, try not to use panasports. I also saw this car on ebay as I've been watching them since 1998 and I still do. Actually acquired our two off/from ebay listings. Wait till you push her beyond 65 into three digits with the top down, it's a rush......

How I found out I had a 5 Speed...

How I found out I had a 5 Speed...

Funny story. I bought a 1967.5 shift plate for a 1600 and noticed it would not fit my shifter. Mine has an aftermarket plate with no shift pattern, I just assumed it was a stock 4 speed. Car is finally running right. Just switched over to electronic ignition and a got an extra gear to boot.

Wheels are on the list, interior is up next.

I love the car with the top down; however, it's a bear at my height with the top up. I have to stop way short of red lights or crane my neck to see it go green, getting in and out is a contortion. I really need to try on a high windshield model on for size. I might be interested in trade if anybody has a comparable late model. I will keep you posted after I get it to triple digits.

Thanks, Butch. You're going to find it so much easier to get in and out of the car.

Robert, If you want to swap cars, I'll trade the 69 2000, you drive north, I'll drive south, meet up somewhere in North Carolina. I have the same traffic light problem in the 66, so I try to keep the top down.

Robert and Dave:
I have the same problem with the traffic lights, and I am short - so driver height isn't the problem there - it's just design.

An old problem, with an old solution....A traffic light viewer, originally from the 40's and 50's for cars with visors. I need to get one
