And once it's here, we can measure it and get some made.

We just need to spread the parts around.

So how many people might be interested in a set of these. With a little work and careful measurements we could perhaps get some made that will give the ideal roll center as well. I will explore this option. Also, would this setup be legal for the vintage race guys (Ron ect?) Yes they are the same material, size ect, but they are only one leaf rather than the pile of them. Let me know how many people are interested and I will look into it.

If they are sticklers for the vintage racing on multi leaf,maybe just dd a few .030 thick sheet metal "leaves". Nobody said they had to be functional, just multileaf.

BTW I was wandering through a couple of JYs yesterday (looking for adaptable fuseblocks) and didn't see any single leaf spring setups at all, and very, very few leaf spring cars.......

Guys, sorry but Lou Mondello has none left. He's got 4 or 5 specialist Swedish wreckers keeping an eye out for them, too. Good luck. Surely someone had a Volvo 360 over there? As for eligibility, check your rules. Usually they'll mandate that you can't change locations for suspension pickups, or spring setups, which leaves you (no pun intended) in the clear!

If we can get one, I think an OEM part number might be some benefit.

Steve, next time you get a chance, can you get some photods and dimensions? Might be enough to build from.
I'm even thinking if we have an original Roadster spring , installed height (arch), rear axle weight and the desired spring rate, they should be able to build from that.

Yeah, I think if you called around some spring specialists, you'd be able to find someone who could do it with that information. After all, these things have been around for some time - they were pretty popular on the Ford Escort rally cars back in the '70's, and Carroll Smith mentions single leaf springs specifically in his great book, "Tune to Win". Any photos I get now are only of installed springs, so no more info. than you've already got to hand.

I was talking to a spring shop here in the Vancouver, BC area who was quite helpful, but figured having the springs made from scratch would be prohibitively expensive. He also told me to contact a company called 'Standens' in Calgary, Alberta where they could do the job and give me specific information. I'm waiting for a reply.

To take another route though.....Would there be a possibility of someone in the UK or/and Europe rounding up a few sets of the Volvo 360 springs and shipping them over? That could prove to be more cost effective. Are they a specific model of 360? or are the 360 springs all the same? They could even trade the springs for other parts they may require........

Standing offer of an EI distributor in trade for the springs. We can measure and go forward from there.

While we're talking springs, any thoughts on the rear spring hanger flexing and adding to high G handling problems? It's not a very heavy part, not much thicker than the spring leaf. Shackle also is a bit flimsy, as compared to other cars.
