Jon the CF dash came out great! Any thoughts on carrying the same finish to center console and shift plate?

Alvin... I did have the center console done at the same time but I'm having another stock radio converted to digital so when I get it back I'll change it all at once. Didn't do the shift plate so for now it's chrome but if it ends up looking unfinished then I'll be sure and send it out.

I Got to Drive it!!! (sort of, for a 1/2 mile) Thanks for all the previous advice!
Datsun Drove it x.jpg
Bought the car last week (pg 96), from 2nd owner, it had been parked for the last 8-10 years, in Ventura, CA

Got it running day 2. Myself and Credit Card became familiar with Dean at DatsunParts.com this week (Great Advice, Knowledge and Parts)

New floats-filters-fasteners and fluids (oh my) masters & slaves, Valve adjusts-Evil L's, cylinders, tensioners, a battery and new kicks (185-65-14)

Driving...Rock Star...Waving at neighbors, 3 blocks from home...stall...no-start...walk home...get gas...limp home...plugged fuel filter (oh My).

Many thanks to Marco and Mateias for the help!

I hope it starts tomorrow?

Ahh, you've reached the non-recovery stage of the addiction, Bliss.
The thrill followed by the "mere setback" of yet another little problem. Awesome that you are not discouraged and just move on to the next opportunity to drive her!
You are officially completely hooked.

Got inspired by a phone call to JohnnyMac. Tracked down a brake leak but stopped short to work on my truck's speedo.

There's an escape, it's called an everything is for sale sign. Just ask Ted. And then it pulled him back in.

Added a Summit mechanical temp gauge, after the one I had suffered a line cut. I like the accuracy of a good temp gauge and these are inexpensive too:

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Working on the brakes. Waiting on new rubber brake lines, I should get them Wednesday. I'll drop off the alternator today for a rebuild. Then if i'll get off the fence I should be ready for a drive.

Pulled her out of the garage, bled the brakes, and took her for a few evening hot laps.

I'm not exactly sure what the color is but it's close to a British Racing Green. Unfortunately these are the only pics I have with me. The funky one with the sun on the fender I think illustrates how this color changes in different light. I feel like there's a slight hint of gold metallic in there. Wish I had the color code I need to do some touch ups.
