Ahhhhh! the dreaded BB gun
The car still hasn't had a Road-worthiness Inspection.
The Guv'mint Inspector didn't want to check anything related since, "I only check numbers, JUST numbers!"
It is my responsibility to make sure it is Roadworthy
Putting it over the pit or up on the hoist doesn't worry me in the least.
PAYING for it DOES

I'm on the same theory, I'll be sure my 50 year old brakes work. And, with proper paper work, I'll shoot my eye out.

My family helped me load my frame on to my pickup today on the rack I made. Taking it to be dipped Friday.

I'm struggling to find winter storage for my car. When did the price of self storage bays go astronomically through the roof? $250/month for a 10x15' bay? That's highway robbery.

down this way are several mom and pop gas stations that gave it up, and now sitting empty. if you could track down one of the owners of such, he may be glad to get anything for rent.

Big milestone today

051120141500 (Large).jpg
And so we start again with a reborn car and a speedo at 000000
Then the tachometer suddenly stopped functioning

I guess that would do it
Just as well I had a spare cable

Changed the inner and all is well again

Hey Nissanman re RHD dash pads I got one last November from a guy who makes them in QLD. Vinyl over fibreglass construction has seems on the ends; see pictures.
Couple of weeks ago I got to try it for the first time as I had striped down the car and removed the old dash.
The only logical way for it to work is to replace the old one not cover it.

I seems a bit big as when I line it up on one side it is hanging out the other side. Admittedly it isn't screwed down but I can't see it moving that much.
Haven’t given him any feedback yet, still think of a way to rectify.
Not always observant, Ken

That would be Glenn Jones.
I have talked to him several times re his dash pad.
I had heard from another customer that the fit was a little, "generous".
I was trying to get the raw product so I could check and adjust the shape prior to fitting the vinyl cover.
I gather yours was all covered when you received it?

Yes and yes it was covered but it had only just been made (had to wait for the trimmer to finish before picking it up) and it returned to Sydney in the back of a black Holden 48/215 so they was some slight unsealing of the vinyl on the inside where it wraps around the edges, the inside bit you don't see.
My first thought on a solution was to peel back the vinyl from the LHS seam and do a cut and shut on the fibreglass in a straight section say near the glove box than recover the vinyl. A bit to the right of the 3rd photo for the position of the cut'n'shut.

So did you get the vinyl matched to your interior or just accepted what the trimmer used?
