hey do you have one of those for the hazard switch? I had them working somehow back before I fixed the fuse box . haven't had the back set up right since . back behind the switch . I have a wire there , I believe its black
on hazard switch. open.

In case anyone is interested here is the 69-70 flasher switch.
Also found out this morning while trying to put the gauges in the dash for a harness I'm building that the screw studs on the back of the early gauges are metric, 4mm .75 pitch. PITA on a mostly SAE car.

For the fuse recommended at the alternator, I know 30 amp is recommended. What size wire on the fuse holder? I see it varies from 14-10 g
Thx

Linda, to minimize the wiring mods, you can mount a 30A circuit breaker on the rear of the alternator.
Then you need to run a short jumper to the "A" post of the alternator to one stud of the breaker and connect the "A" wire from the Voltage Regulator to the remaining stud of the breaker.

Interesting idea. My alt is on the driver's side with stock VR on the right side so wiring would be more than just putting the inline breaker at the alt A post. Think that would be the simplest for me to do.

Linda the wires involved are already at the alternator: the only one you need to add is a large gauge from the alternator "A" terminal to the protection device. Essentially you are just inserting the device in series with the VR "A" wire.

Ah I see the breaker is in lieu of the fuse with a 10 g wire on A terminal.

Blew a fuse and my headlights, taillights, brake lights, and gauge lights stopped working. Replaced the fuse and they still don’t work. Amp meter shows no change when I turn the flip the headlight switch. Any suggestions? Thanks

Check the contacts on the fuse box itself. Try another fuse, sometimes the fuses are bad, or blow so fast you don't notice it.
You could always try and reboot the computer.

Thanks. I checked all the fuses and the contacts on he fuse box and all are fine. Could there be a short somewhere? Sorry I’m new to wiring.

Did the new fuse blow when you put it in? If so, then a short is likely. If not, then I would suspect a loose connection somewhere in the circuit. Check each light socket and make sure the bulbs are good, and that the base is clean and corrosion free. Check any connections at terminals you can see.
Does everything else work OK?

what happened to cause the fuse to blow?
will the car start?
does ammeter show anything when you crank car?

Can you get any lights if you use the hazard switch? I believe everything turn and taillight wise goes through the hazard switch on a 67.5, but that should not effect the headlights. If nothing was working, I would suspect the connection to the ammeter, but if only the lights, it must be something in that circuit.
