Roadster Apple Run.10-9-13

Had a great Apple Run today. About 420 miles. Off at 9 am and back about 6 pm.
It is so nice to be able to go on a weekday. Hardly any traffic in the mountains.
East from Bellevue through Mt Rainier NP (Park is closed but State Road 410 through is open).
Over Chinook Pass (5400' with early snow!. A bit nippy up there.)
Continue on to Yakima with excursions on 2 long fun paved Forest Service roads.
Got my winter supply of 4 boxes of Late Fuji apples.
Back home on the freeway so as not to jostle the apples.
No mechanical problems or encounters with officers of the law

Ted.

Hi Alvin.
The 70 2000 is Richard's 2014 Trip Roadster.
Richard is coming back in 2014 for the 30th Mt Shasta show instead of Solvang.
After Shasta, Richard and I will take a 2 week driving trip like we did this year after Solvang.
I am taking care of the Roadster for Richard. Custody includes plenty of "test" driving!.
Ted.

DROPS Camano Island Drive 10-13-13

Pebbles, John V and Ted had a good but crisp drive today.
Made the loop of Camano Island, N of Seattle on Puget Sound.
Weather was great after AM fog but a bit nippy.
As Pebbles lives nearby he lead the drive on some great twisty farm roads to get to the Island.
We had the usual "I had one of those once" visit at one of our stops.
Nice Fall colors in the State Park.
203 miles on the meter for the 70 2000 at days end.

Sort of "Dorky" but WARM.

So Friday, I went to FormulaDrift, then to the Bob's Big Boy JDM classic meet..

Saturday I attended the Inland Empire Z show, where somehow I won best pre-85 non Z Datsun.. Oh yeah, I was the only pre-85 non Z Datsun..lol But it was a fun show.. Then I went to the FormulaDrift finals..

Sunday was the "Fairlady Generations" meet, cruise and lunch at SuperCar Sunday. There were 3 full rows of Zs and roadsters.. Only shot from the show was taken during roll in.. 3 more roadsters arrived after this..
Image

The cruise was almost all Z, I was the only roadster, so of course I was put in charge of leading.. 40 cars is an interesting tail to lead thru the Santa Monica Mtns.
Image
Even more were up the hill, and farther down..
Image

Lunch was at the "car wash" which does not even come close to describing this place.. It was much more like a club than a wash. It's a good thing I don't live closer, I could hang out there and watch them clean my car on the lift..
Some beautiful cars from Universal Nissan..Image

Everybody parked, ate, and had a great time.. 30 cars made it to the lunch..

Crazy busy weekend..
