Well I guess its been a few months since I last posted and actually had the opportunity to work on the car and make some progress.

Earlier this year I acquired another car with an SR20 which I had to get certified ( this is a great car and I'l do a full write up on it and its plan for the future soon )

Also both MrsBlue and the 260Z were having all kinds of issues after storage so that’s been really keeping me busy with the little time I had to work on the cars. The body shop also had a high influx of work come in so MrGreen had to wait its turn for while but it was completely worth it.

As previously mentioned, things evolved from repainting the front clip to a color change to a full down to the metal strip, the car was straight but had some hidden minor which were all fixed so that everything lines up with beautiful gaps and straight.

This is not a show car but a driver, so we won’t be doing any color sanding only a full polish in a couple weeks before kicking off the reassembly.
With no further ado here are Mr Green’s new robes ,

I know I’ve hinted at the color but never actually said it, but in fairness up until 1 week before paint I was still on the fence between 3 choices .
For those wondering no it’s not 664 Spanish red , I ended up selecting BMW’s Imola as one of the purest red I could find with no hints of orange.

I’m very happy on how it turns out and cannot wait to have all the trims installed to see the full effect

Forgot to mention we also built a new garage for the ladies earlier this year so that they all have a roof over their heads now

Don’t see what you would improve with a cut and buff considering the shine it already has! Nice.

Wow, what a great color choice! I've never been much of a red car person, but my wife's BMW Z3 is red and I really like it. Great Color! I can hardly wait until you get the car together... what Fun! Looks very straight, and I agree it really laid out nice. What brand of paint? Congrats!

Ps... I believe my wife's car is the same color. I agree, it is a very pure red. It makes your eyes keep looking at it. Black will be a very nice contrasting color.

There are some very slight imperfections and new clear is always best after a polish. with no trims in the way it the best opportunity

Thanks red was not my first choice but really glad I did , I’m doing a full black interior but will be trying charcoal carpets first

My car color is Imola red your wife Z3 unless it’s a Z3M would be Helrot 314 it’s very similar but the Imola is darker with more black in it

Here are a good couple pictures that shows the difference in the shade and sun,
Left is Helrot right is Imola
