Wow, very cool... Got caught up over the several posts. Love the pedals, how did you do that and what did you use?

I bought the set on ebay after seeing that the basic dimensions would fit our stock pedals. I then measured and drilled holes on the existing pedals to bolt the new ones on. The clutch and brake pedals kind of slide over the bottom of the pedal and then I bolted them at the top. The gas pedal goes right on top and was bolted on. I really like the extra heel area on it.

So I want to make sure that the cars behind me (and I hope that is most of the field 8) ) can see when I brake I purchased some inexpensive LED fog lights on eBay and used them in place of the stock pigtails and bulbs. The pictures show them lit with nothing more than a 9 volt battery so they should be quite a bit brighter when hooked up to the system. They are 10 watt and there was some modification of the fog lights to get them to work. I will post some more pictures this weekend of the fog lights and what I did to them to make them work.

So I finished mounting the fuel cell in the trunk. I cut out the opening then used square tubing welded to the frame to reinforce it. I still need to pick up the longer bolts so I can bolt it to the square tubing. I am also looking to make a partial cage around the portion that faces the rear to protect it from any future rear end incidents.

So with having to have shoulder surgery in less than 2 weeks I decided the bodywork was good enough for a race car and painted it today! I chose Primrose Yellow. It will have the BRE stripes in black on the fenders. It turned out really well and I could get away with not cutting and buffing it but I want it to really shine! I will cut and buff it prior to the surgery and will have Keith Williams and Chuck Grohs come up and help a one armed man put it together. I plan to be healed up enough to attend VARA University in January.

Nice work guys.

I'd want a video. Expect I could tell who was driving from the lack of, or existence of, a beard swaying to the corners :smt002

I finally got the roll cage done. People keep saying it looks too tall but it was made to save me if I end up with the wrong side down. Anyway, I will be putting the motor in and connecting up all of the systems next weekend. Keith is nearly finished putting the motor together!! Keith and Chuck are going to come up and help with the final assembly. Hopefully we can get it fired! I decided to put the front of the car together to see how it would look. The hood and grill will come back off until the motor is in. I really like the headlight grilles I found!!

I had a visit from Chuck and Keith, my Roadster buddies from Vegas, this past weekend. They came up to get the car back on track after my shoulder surgery. We got quite a bit completed. We put the motor and transmission in, mounted the radiator and the accusump system, plumbed most of the accusump system, mounted the battery box, mounted the fuel pump, filter and regulator. Keith made some custom mounts for the oil cooler and we installed it. I will finish painting the cage this week and install the roll cage padding and seat. The guys will be back up in a couple weeks to finish putting it together and start it for the first time!!

Don't sweat the folks saying your roll bar "looks too tall". They're idiots. Wait, are they on 311s?

Love the setup! When is the first test/track day?
