Can someone let me know if I need to bend this back before my upholstery guy finishes the job?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks! That’s what I expected, but wanted to make sure before I bent it back. That’s probably part of why it’s hard to put the top up on my car.

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
Since Ive been daily (daytime) driving the Roadster for the last few weeks, Ive noticed something that I likely never really had my attention drawn to... The clutch pedal. It squeaks everytime I push it in and release it. Is this something WD40 can handle or do I need something more hardcore?

I would try to spray some WD 40 on the pivot pin under the dash. It's where the spring attaches.

Are you sure it isnt your shoe? Lol.
Where the spring nests in the body, there is a plastic horseshoe. My guess it is a noise reducer. May have become dislodged.
Wd might work initially on the pins, but a lubricant type spray such as seafoam Deep Creep will outlast wd, And it sprays upside down!

I agree with the little plastic insert being a cure for that. Some springs just make noise, particularly if they are too heavy.
"When all else fails, force prevails!" Ummm, we're gonna need a bigger hammer here.

It might be that, or it could be the sleeve that goes through the pivot. You might remove the pedal, smear a little grease on the hollow pivot pin and see if it goes away.2mAn wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 2:52 pm Its definitely not my shoes! hahah

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

If the pivot pin is worn it might squeek, a groove can wear in it.
Might get a new clevis pin at Home Depot etc with a better fit plus the grease mentioned.

Can I use the same grease I use for bearings and stuff or should I get something different?

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread-take 2
The hole in the clutch pedal may be ovalled out.
Mine was so I bought a larger diameter clevis pin and bored out the hole to suit it.
I think the squeak is a factory feature

If you can hear squeaks and rattles than you have too much muffler2mAn wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 12:13 pm Since Ive been daily (daytime) driving the Roadster for the last few weeks, Ive noticed something that I likely never really had my attention drawn to... I have no muffler, but going from stop sign to stop sign and idling along it became very obvious!...theunz wrote: Thu Nov 29, 2018 10:02 pm If you can hear squeaks and rattles than you have too much muffler![]()
