Taking advantage of this spectacular washington sunshine before it goes away! Had to work on a saturday but the drive made it ok! Lots of waves and thumbs up, my commute is about 65 miles round trip mostly freeway and the 1500 roared along cruising between 60-65mph with an occasional pull up to 70. Rips right along! Still getting used to the high rpms lol. So far put about 200 miles on the freshened up engine and so far so good.
Also this was the first time i could stand under the car. Much nicer than lying on the ground!
Fyi gas tank strap rubber insulators from an early sienna are a near perfect fit for roadster straps.

Took it to work for the first time today... lots of grey clouds in the sky right now. Kinda scared it might start raining, as I don't have a top for it... maybe I should leave work early.

Driving the 70 SRL to work every day this week...top has been up due to intermittent rain. Truck is in the collision shop to fix a minor fender bender with a jack-knifed utility trailer...Doh!

Drove my Roadster in today. A Guard at the gate coming into the Redstone Arsenal yelled across from another line "that's the Datsun!!". The guard checking my badge wanted to know about the car. Parked out front (and not the normal back 40) to drop stuff off for the luncheon and several people wanted to stop and talk about it. It is nice having a cool car - just be prepared for the attention.

Pictures from work yesterday.
Ran down the road to the historic Redstone Test Site. Alan Shepard rode one of these Redstone Rockets into space May 5th, 1961. The bunkers for instrumentation and observation are three railroad tanker cars.
Hoping for some fall colors but not quit here yet in the South.
