Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
you guys are having fun in yours and i just worked out of mine last week during the beautiful and sunny high 60 degree temps. i keep a collapsable two wheeler to roll my catalog in and out of my customer's store, and always buckle up the 50 lb book, to keep it in the seat when i hit the brakes.
made a run up to Eureka Springs, AR and down to Fayetteville from there, and back to Harrison for a total of 230 miles that day. if it's pretty, i am going to run down to Sallisaw, OK and over to Alma, AR and back home which is around 345 miles round trip.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Drove down to the Local Car show here in West Houston. Beautiful temps in the mid 70's. This nice weather will soon be gone
The car guys usually group the vehicles together by make/marque. They are never quite sure where to put the 'ol Fairlady. This week I parked by the Ford Mustangs.
Here is a shot that was posted on the West Houston Muscle car site.

I hope you have a good heater and JC Whitney plug in blanket for your wife!

no complaints so far with the heater fan on "high", a jacket and blanket
that plug-in thing sounds brilliant though!

seat warmers from Black Dragon work great too, and you have both driver and passenger warm.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
We DROVE to Santana Row and then to Stevens Creek Auto Row to help some friends test drive some cars:
At the Audi dealership there was a Ferrari 599 GTO in the lot! This is the fastest Ferrari ever made, only 599 were made, and it's about $450k. First time I've seen one in person. Naturally, I wanted to pull the roadster next to it for picture. It was black too! So I did and it was going to be a nice picture. Unfortunately I left my camera in the Audi that the friends were test driving So I thought no problem, the Ferrari is not going anywhere. Moments later a middle-aged man and his teenage son walk towards the Ferrari, key in hand, blips alarm:
Alvin: "Hey is this your Ferrari it's awesome I just wanted to take a picture of it next to my car! But my friends have my camera they will be back in a second."
Ferrari guy: "Ok, sorry!"
And they left.
Ferrari people suck Anyways my wife was wondering if they were going to buy an R8 for the teenage son.
and maybe we got the last laugh b/c we both agreed that the GTO sounded awful as it drove off...like a muffled motorcycle with a tinny rasp that rivalled a Civic.
I think this is the first time I didn't get "the shot". I was sad

Went to Denver for the first "Summer Series" Solo 2 event. I got into the start grid, a blizzard blew in and shut down the event. Back on the trailer and back home.
Back home in driveway. FYI, Hoosier slicks don't grip well on snow and ice.

Drove to the SoCal BBQ.
Fun seeing everyone.
Had to Jump start the car, too much rain these last few months.
Car ran just fine, just under 200 miles on my new tires and rims.
They worked fine on the freeway, no rubbing.
Going to be driving her to work the next few weeks as a prelude to Solvang and points beyond.

We DROVE to our favorite park, Quicksilver. I went a little too "off-road" into the parking lot and dirtied up the fenders and tires...but I never was big on shiny sidewalls

Drove arround for the first time this year.
Very nice weather (23 degree).
Perfect drive and ready for the dutch roadster meeting next week April 16.
Hope the weather will be the same as today.
